Amazing value! At this price point you do not get this quality in a bass guitar. The workmanship is first class and right out of the box it needed NO adjustments. I am used to spending some time adjusting the truss rod, setting the intonation at the bridge, dealing with sharp fret edges, etc... this bass plays GREAT easily outshines bass guitars that can cost twice the price. It looks, plays and sounds so good----I ordered another one in white. (The one I bought is black)

Really well packaged. Excellent quality. Fret work was perfect on mine. The setup was very good although I like my action a little lower so some small adjustments and I was playing. Feels great sounds decent. For the money, I would definitely buy another. It does take a long time but I'm not dropping a star for that as it clearly stats the timeline for delivery on the website.

This guitar is fantastic. I’ve never bought a guitar overseas directly like this. It was absolutely worth the wait. The quality is best in class. I’ve played a lot of import guitars in this price range, and I would guess it’s worth much much more. The Foals hardware is wonderful. It holds tune well. The pots and rhythm circuit do the things they do so well. You can really tame the top end. I have a much more expensive JM type guitar and the tone control is unusable. On this guitar it not only is usable, its musical.

Looks beautiful and more importantly, plays beautifully.

This has quickly become my ‘go-to- guitar. The playability and the tone are both to my liking. It stays in tune pretty well. The action was a little too low to handle some bends high on the fret board. Raised the strings a touch and problem went away. The brass bridge makes for a nice tone but if I try to bend the first string to aggressively, the string pops out of the slot. The tremolo is nice and smooth but the spring seems to be a bit long to properly adjust the lock to be correctly adjusted.
The shielding is excellent and standby noise is almost totally eliminated. Makes playing quiet passages very pleasant…

On the short list for best value to dollar on any guitar made today. The money saved from a fender allowed me to get all 3 of their guitars that are on par with the Vintera 3 line.

Design and quality are excellent. I recommend as an upgrade for any offset guitar.

really shocked about the quality of this guitar for the price. all I needed to get this thing shredding was a quick bridge set up. since they provided the required allen wrenches, it was super quick and easy. other than that, the FJM7 was already perfect stock. great feel, great sound, great build quality, great guitar!!

Great guitar and great sound. Neck feels nice and smooth. Arrived well packaged after 1 month wait.

Will be looking at getting a FOALS FJG7 next.

It is a high quality Guitar. It feels like how a Strat should be

I bought the FJG7 after spending months saving for a black 1999 American Fender Jaguar reissue at roughly three times the price.

On paper, the Foals actually suited me better: modern specifications, a stable bridge and a guitar built for a hard attack, alternative tunings, fuzz, delay and far too much reverb. Still, I kept reaching for the Fender because it came with a story. Eventually, I realised that I didn’t need the legacy object. I needed the guitar that would make me want to play.

The FJG7 arrived in tune. The only adjustment I’ve made was lowering one side of the bridge pickup slightly. Everything else worked straight out of the gig bag.

And the fretwork alone? Absolutely remarkable. Clean, smooth and properly finished. Honestly, it puts my considerably more expensive Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster to shame. The fret ends on the TVL can be brutal on the hands, while the Foals felt ready to play from the moment I picked it up.

The vibrato system was probably the biggest surprise. I expected something slightly stiff and old-fashioned, as offset vibratos sometimes can be. Nope. It feels smooth and expressive, and it will happily take near-dive-bomb abuse alongside my Ibanez while still returning to pitch. I genuinely didn’t expect that at this price.

The neck was slightly thicker than I had imagined, but I adjusted to it very quickly. It sits comfortably in the hand and feels substantial without becoming cumbersome.

The pickups are perhaps a little more mid-forward than I expected, but I don’t consider that a negative. It gives the guitar its own voice instead of making it feel like a generic Jaguar imitation. So far, it sounds great with everything from ambient textures to heavy fuzz, riffs and lead sounds.

It also came in a really nice, thick gig bag with a strap, tools, picks and strings. The whole package feels unusually complete.

For context, I’ve played and owned a lot of guitars. I also own Fender’s Mexican-made 2011 Kurt Cobain Jaguar, which was my main guitar during the most professionally active period of my life as a musician. So I’m hardly immune to the mythology surrounding these instruments.

But the FJG7 has reminded me of something important: the player gives the instrument its story - not the logo or the price tag.

My only possible complaint is that the red finish is slightly less vivid than I imagined from the pictures.

Honestly, who cares? It's still absolutely gorgeous to look at!

It plays like a beast. And I absolutely love playing this guitar and I will be playing it for a very long time to come.

My investigation concwudes dat dis guitaw is yummy. I wecommend dis guitaw to any one dat wants a jazzmastuh but doesnt want to buy a fender cuz they are overpriced and arent as yummy.

I've bought numerous bridges trying to completely solve all the common Jazzmaster issues on my Vintera ii JM. This Bridge has done that! Easy instal and setup, great results.
